COVID-19 Campus Update

As public health concerns surrounding COVID-19 continue to grow, Community College of Philadelphia has made the careful decision to move coursework to online or other remote alternatives, beginning March 30 through the end of the spring semester, and to keep Main Campus and its Regional Centers closed through at least May 6, 2020. All courses remain suspended through March 30, 2020. Students will receive details on coursework from individual instructors. Faculty and staff will be issued guidance by supervisors. At this time, the commencement ceremony for spring 2020 is postponed. The College will continue to update you via email, web updates and text alerts as this situation evolves during the closure. During this time, please follow all CDC guidelines for preventing the spread of this virus and remaining healthy, including hygiene recommendations, social distancing practices and remaining home when you are sick.

Parking Policy

Memorandum #157 Parking Policy

Community College of Philadelphia (The College) has limited parking for students, faculty, staff, and guests. The parking space allocation in all College facilities conforms to federal, state, and local laws. Parking spaces include those designated for the exclusive use of individuals that have a certified physical disability.  In order to park in these designated spaces, vehicles must have a state-issued handicapped license plate or a state-issued handicapped placard.  Vehicles parked in designated handicapped spaces not displaying either of these items will be removed from the parking area at the owner's expense. College parking at all locations is on a space-available, first-come, first-park basis.

Main Campus Parking Facilities

    • 17th Street Garage Parking
      The College provides a multi-level parking garage at the main campus for the exclusive use of its students, faculty, staff, and guests.  A parking management company under the direction of the College's Office of Budgets and Financial Services manages this garage for the College.

    • Center for Business and Industry Garage Parking
      The College provides a multi-level parking garage at the main campus for the exclusive use of its students, faculty, staff, and guests.  A parking management company under the direction of the College's Office of Budgets and Financial Services manages this garage for the College.

    • Outside Parking
      The College operates a street level parking lot for the exclusive use of its faculty and staff.  This lot is managed by the College's Office of Budgets and Financial Services.

*NOTE: This policy does not preclude children's participation in events sanctioned by the College or the involvement of children in educational activities specific to a curriculum. As of the date of the ratification of the policy, the College has maintained a Child Development Center which provides an option for care.

Northeast Regional Center Parking

The College operates a street level parking lot at the Northeast Regional Center for the exclusive use of its students, faculty, staff and guests.  . This lot is managed by the College's Office of Safety and Security.

Northwest Regional Center Parking

Community College of Philadelphia operates a street level parking lot at the Northwest Regional Center for the exclusive use of its students, faculty, staff and guests.  This lot is managed by the College's Office of Safety and Security.

West Regional Center Parking

The College operates a street level parking lot at the West Regional Center for the exclusive use of its students, faculty, staff and guests.  . This lot is managed by the College's Office of Safety and Security

Special Circumstances Parking

Requests for special parking considerations for short-term physical injuries will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the ADA Coordinator.  Accommodations granted will be limited to no more than thirty (30) days and only in parking facilities currently designated for use by faculty, staff, students, and guests.

Invited Guest Parking

Community College of Philadelphia maintains a guest parking lot on 16th Street at the main campus for specially-invited guest parking and other special needs of the College.   This lot is managed by the College's Office of Safety and Security.
