The Human Resources department provides comprehensive and centralized support, leadership, and guidance to constituencies throughout the College community to ensure a quality work environment. Core services and competencies include recruitment and staffing, employee and labor relations, employee training and development, compensation and classification, employee benefits, organizational dynamics, HR information and employee services, and regulatory compliance. HR is committed to providing these services in a professional, caring, and consistent manner. The HR staff is dedicated to clear communications, progressive thinking, and resourceful solutions toward meeting the Community College of Philadelphia mission, vision and goals.
Meet the Staff
Associate Vice President for Human Resources
Lisa serves as the College’s chief human resources officer providing strategic leadership and operational direction, including organizational development, succession planning, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, benefits, performance management and employee relations. Contact Lisa if you have questions or concerns relating to policies & procedures, employee relations issues concerning faculty, administrators or classified/confidential employees, grievances, performance management, job classification and compensation, and/or training and development needs.
Technical/Craft Specialist A
Jackie provides administrative support to the Associate Vice President for Human Resources and the Director of Human Resources, and she coordinates the administrative performance review process.

Director of Human Resources
Susan oversees the HRIS and Talent Acquisition functions within the Human Resources department. She assists the Associate Vice President for Human Resources with employee relations, compensation/classification, and talent management; and provides input into the development and administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs.

Coordinator, Talent Acquisition
Terry serves as the lead over a full range of activities related to the acquisition of talent for (non-academic) staff positions at the College. Terry’s job responsibilities include the development of recruitment plans, sourcing and screening applicants based on position qualifications, and providing consultative services to hiring managers to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of selection and hiring processes, in accordance with the College’s collective bargaining agreement.
Administrator, Faculty HR
Jo-Ann performs a full range of employment activities, including coordinating the recruitment of full-time, part-time, credit and non-credit faculty positions, reviewing applicant pools, conducting background checks, auditing resumes and establishing initial salaries. She advises and explains College policies and procedures regarding employment to search committees and is responsible for all non-benefit Human Resources related activities for faculty including contract renewals and sabbaticals.
Talent Acquisition Assistant
Jen provides support in the staff and faculty recruitment processes in the College’s Human Resources department. She is primarily responsible for the coordination of processes related to requests for temporary workers, background screening for staff and faculty positions, and new hire onboarding.
Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
The HRIS area is responsible for maintenance of the HR module of the Banner system, and provides the primary coordination with the payroll office. If you need address labels or a report from the system, these are the people to contact. Changes to demographic information such as name changes, address changes, etc. are handled by the HRIS area. They also handle employee verification.
Roger L. Miller
Roger is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the activities of the Banner HR/Payroll Systems (HRIS) functions for faculty, staff, student positions and employment. Contact Roger if you have questions concerning job assignments.
Elisabeth supports the planning, implementation and administration of the Banner HR/Payroll Information Systems (HRIS) for faculty, staff, student positions and employment. She prepares accurate and timely reports and audits of the HRIS system. She also serves as the department consultant with respect to system patches and upgrades.
Office Administrative Associate B
Christna is responsible for entering and updating employee and payroll information into Banner, new hire processing, and maintaining personnel files and documentation.
Tech Craft Specialist B
Kate is responsible for entering and updating employee Leave Time and payroll information into Banner, archiving personnel records, and assisting in employment verifications.

Employee Benefits staff can also provide you with information concerning the College's short term disability and income protection benefit programs, workers' compensation, health care and dependent care spending accounts, the commuter benefit program, and a variety of wellness programs and benefits.
Director, Employee Benefits
Hillary provides oversight for the employee benefits staff, and oversees all aspects of employee benefits. He handles the retirement programs, assisting employees through the retirement process, and all matters pertaining to workplace injuries and Worker's Compensation claims.
Kitanee is responsible for administering administrator and staff benefits, including medical, prescription drug, life insurance and retirement plan benefits.
Lolita is responsible for administering faculty benefits, including medical, prescription drug, life insurance and retirement plan benefits.
Office Administrative Associate B
Mark is responsible for processing monthly bills and invoices, updating coverage information both in employee Banner records and on the medical and prescription drug carrier portals. Contact Mark if you have lost your medical, prescription drug or dental ID card and need a replacement.
