You are entitled to up to six in-person or telephone counseling sessions, and coverage extends to your spouse, partner, and dependents.

What You Need to Do

Breathing Exercise to Promote Relaxation

The 4-7-8 breathing exercise is a natural tranquilizer to use whenever you are aware of internal tension, or to help you fall asleep.

  • Sit with your back straight
  • Place tip of tongue against ridge of tissue behind your upper front teeth
  • Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound
  • Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four
  • Hold your breath for a count of seven
  • Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of eight
  • Repeat the cycle three more times for a total of four breaths
