College Closed on Monday, February 23

Due to inclement weather, Community College of Philadelphia will be closed on Monday, February 23.

All 7A online and hybrid courses will continue as scheduled. Any scheduled on-campus final exams for 7A courses will be rescheduled. Faculty will contact students directly. All other online, hybrid and in-person classes, work, and activities are canceled. Please note that class cancellations do not apply to students in clinical rotations or those who are scheduled at off-site practicum/observation sites or internships. Program coordinators for clinical rotations, off-site practicum/observation sites and internships should communicate directly with their students regarding tomorrow’s schedule as needed.

Alana Collos FT Faculty Teaching Award

This award was established in 1988 to honor the memory of Alana Collos, a creative and dedicated teacher at Community College of Philadelphia who helped to establish the Teaching Center. The recipient receives a $500 award and is recognized at the FCTL end-of-the-year event in April.

Bill Mulkeen Adjunct Faculty Teaching Award 

This award, granted by the FCTL Advisory Committee, recognizes an adjunct member of CCP's faculty for excellence in teaching. The award is given annually during the spring semester. The recipient receives a $500 award and is recognized at the FCTL end-of-the-year event in April.

Professional Development Award

The Faculty Development Award is an annual award given to support a faculty member working to enhance the learning of his or her students. This award offers a stipend of $500 to be used during the academic year to help reimburse expenses related to a faculty development project that would be enhanced by attending a conference, workshop, or seminar (including on-line) of the recipient's choice. The recipient receives a $500 award and is recognized at the FCTL end-of-the-year event in April. Each PD award recipient must present the results to the larger College community in a group presentation at the end of the spring semester.
