Community College Survey of Student Engagement: Benchmark Report Spring 2016

The Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) benchmarks are groups of conceptually related survey items that focus on institutional practices and student behaviors that promote student engagement – and that are positively related to student learning and persistence. The CCSSE benchmarks allow institutions, with missions focused on teaching, learning, and student success, to gauge and monitor their performance in areas that are central to their work.

Community College of Philadelphia Postsecondary Completions Report, Fall 2010 Cohort

The National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) has recently released a report that examines six-year college completion rates for the Fall 2010 cohort. This study followed the Fall 2010 cohort through May 31, 2016, and highlights six-year student outcomes, including degree and certificate completion as well as continuing enrollment (persistence).

Digging into the NSC data we find that students, who began their enrollment at CCP between 20-24 years of age, are meeting or exceeding the national benchmarks of 1st Completion at Initial Institution, Subsequent Completion at a 4-yr Institution and Still Enrolled at Any Institution.
