Held June 7-9, the 2022 Summer Equity Institute drew close to 150 members of the College community, as stakeholders at the College ranging from staff, administrators, and faculty came together to address the important question, “What does equity, diversity, and inclusion mean at CCP?” Plenary sessions on the three days comprised of invited guest speakers Dr. Shaunna Payne Gold, Gold Enterprises, LLC, Dr. Jillian Kinzie, Interim Co-Director, NSSE, and Mr. Jonathan Iuzzini, Director of Teaching and Learning, Achieving the Dream. These plenary sessions were followed by concurrent sessions presented by CCP faculty and administrators. Each day, participants were given opportunities to share ideas, best practices, and challenges to address the equity gaps in our students’ learning and the consequences of not addressing the equity gaps.
