FCTL Facilitator Call for Applications
Taking on the role of FCTL Facilitator allows you to meet faculty and staff from across the College and gives you a broader perspective on teaching and learning at CCP. It is a great way to share your knowledge and passion for interdisciplinary professional development and learn from your colleagues.
Facilitators usually hold this position for 2-3 years. The position involves two (2) course release in Fall and Spring and extended time during summer. Applications welcome from all full-time faculty from the following divisions: Liberal Studies, Business & Technology, Math, Science & Health Careers, Educational Support Services, and Student Development.
The main responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate the Faculty Fellows program
- Maintain the FCTL budget, office, and programming materials, and the FCTL space including tracking attendance, program assessment
- Update the FCTL website periodically and work with Marketing when needed
- Send out communications of events and programming
- Work with FCTLAC chair on various FCTL related matters including the strategic plan reports, FCTL annual reports, advertise the teaching awards and coordinating the applications for the awards, FCTL Fellows
- Coordinate with other CCP offices, faculty, staff, and administration to support grassroots faculty programming and the College’s strategic priorities, publicize FCTL events
- Highlight faculty accomplishments across the college on an ongoing basis
- Participate in teaching and learning activities outside of the College with area community colleges, other institutions of higher education or teaching and learning organizations leading to planning and holding joint conferences
- Develop ideas for programming, recruit faculty to lead sessions
- Work in tandem with personnel related to any grant opportunities at the College that pertain to FCTL mission and goals
- Lead the FCTL Strategic Plan assessment on an annual basis and write annual Facilitator Report
- Plan, organize, and upload necessary documents for Middle States during the accreditation cycle
- Be available for various FCTL sponsored programs and participate in as many as possible
- Be able to coordinate and scale Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) efforts and professional development and training related to COIL

- The letter of interest should be addressed to the FCTL Advisory Committee and include a description of why you would like to be selected for this position, two to three examples of your experiences in leading professional development for faculty, and some ideas you would like to implement in the FCTL.
- The letter of support should be from an individual who knows your work and abilities well and can explain why you are a good fit for this position.
- The email from your Department Head should be short and to the point merely to indicate their support of your application and, that if accepted for the position, the course release would be align with the applicants other work responsibilities.
Applications are due November 12, 2025
The FCTLAC will review the applications and send their recommendation to Interim Associate Provost, Dr. Lisa Sanders. The applicant accepted for the position would start in Spring 2026.
