View Institution Transfer Agreement

Community College of Philadelphia has two types of transfer agreements with Neumann University: dual admissions and program-to-program. To benefit from any of these agreements, students must earn an appropriate associate degree before transfer. These agreements are not exclusive of one another and can complement one another.
Dual Admissions
Neumann University and Community College of Philadelphia have developed a dual admissions agreement. This agreement is designed to assist students who earn an appropriate associate degree to transfer to Neumann University. Neumann University guarantees admissions on the condition that students meet all the requirements.
Admissions into a particular major is not guaranteed. Upon transfer, students earn junior standing for matching majors. Support and financial incentives, including scholarship awards, are built-in to offer students the best opportunity for success.
Dual admissions eligibility
Students who do not qualify for dual admissions, are still eligible to transfer to Neumann University. Please review the list of approved programs below and visit with a Community College of Philadelphia academic advisor or counselor for further assistance.
Program-to-Program
These are agreements in which an entire curriculum or program of study is accepted, so graduates of these specific associate degree programs transfer with advanced standing to a matching specific bachelor's degree program at Neumann University.

Dual Admissions Eligibility

Neumann University welcomes applicants to the Dual Admissions Program in order to facilitate the transfer of students from Community College of Philadelphia to Neumann University with third-year (junior) status for the purpose of entering a bachelor’s degree program.
To be eligible for this program, students must:

  • Submit a dual admissions intent form before earning no more than 45 graded college level credits (grades of A, B, C, D, F) from Community College of Philadelphia or any other college/university. Once a student has completed this form, they are strongly encouraged to meet with a Neumann University admissions representative and/or a Community College of Philadelphia academic advisor or counselor to develop a plan of study.
  • Complete Neumann University’s admissions application during the semester before the student plans to matriculate to Neumann. Admissions fees will be waived.
  • Graduate from Community College of Philadelphia with an Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.) or Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in one of the approved programs listed.
  • Achieve the minimum 2.0 Community College of Philadelphia cumulative grade point average (GPA) except for the following:
      • Psychology and Educational Studies = 2.5,
      • Early Childhood/Special Ed= 3.0;
      • the Biology BS and MLS requires a 2.0 overall GPA and 2.45 science GPA.
  • Enroll directly to Neumann University within one year of completing an associate degree program of study from Community College of Philadelphia and not attend another institution between graduation and attendance at Neumann University.

Note:

  • Students who have previously been matriculated to Neumann University are not eligible for the Neumann University dual admissions program but are encouraged to apply as a transfer or readmissions student to Neumann University.
  • There is no obligation on the part of the Dual Admissions Community College of Philadelphia student if the student decides not to transfer to Neumann University.
  • This Agreement applies to students who enter Neumann University as full-time or part-time undergraduate students.
  • Transfer credit will be awarded for courses with a grade of “C” or above for any and all courses transferred to Neumann University.
  • Students are responsible for sending Neumann University official transcripts for evaluation of credit from all attended institutions, including military transcripts. Developmental courses are not eligible for transfer.
  • Credit will also be awarded for Advanced Placement (AP), College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), Credit for Prior Learning (CPL), etc., with appropriate documentation. A maximum of 15 semester hours of either AP, CLEP, or DANTES credit may transfer to NU if applied toward the associate degree and a maximum of 30 semester hours may apply toward the bachelor’s degree, provided that the maximum number of transfer credits has not been exceeded
  • The maximum number of semester hours that can transfer to NU is 90. Students enrolled in an undergraduate program of study at NU are required to complete a minimum of 120 credits. At least 30 credits must be completed at NU including at least half of the requirements in the major or area of specialization.
  • A full-time student admitted with third year (junior) status to Neumann University will be able to complete a bachelor's degree within four fall/spring semesters provided the student earns the appropriate associate degree at Community College of Philadelphia, appropriately sequences their remaining course work at Neumann University, and completes all courses with the minimum passing grade or higher.
  • Under this Agreement, Neumann University guarantees that all Community College of Philadelphia credits from Community College of Philadelphia programs of study listed in this Agreement will fulfill general education, elective or major requirements in the corresponding Neumann University major that the Community College of Philadelphia transfer student wishes to pursue.
  • Students who have pursued a Community College of Philadelphia associate degree study other than those designated in this Agreement or who do not earn the associate degree in the designated curricula and who wish to transfer to Neumann University are not covered by this Agreement. Such students will be considered for admissions on an individual basis and their credits will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis.
  • Gwynedd Mercy University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing Pre-licensure program is not included in this Agreement. Students interested in this program will need to apply through a separate process. Please meet with a Gwynedd Mercy University admissions representative for details.
