On July 1, 2017 Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University joined together to form one university. Students can enroll at Jefferson University – Center City (formerly Thomas Jefferson University) or Jefferson University – East Falls (formerly Philadelphia University).

The Community College of Philadelphia has a program-to-program transfer agreement with Jefferson University – East Falls’ School of Continuing and Professional Studies. To benefit from this Agreement, students must earn an  associate degree before transfer.

Under this Agreement, Jefferson University – East Falls’ accelerated bachelor’s degree completion program will accept all or most of the courses from any associate degree from Community College of Philadelphia to satisfy half of the bachelor’s degree guaranteeing junior status.

Additionally, the Community College of Philadelphia has a General Agreement with Jefferson University – Center City which does not require the completion of an associate degree at Community College of Philadelphia, and is based on satisfaction of Jefferson University course prerequisites, academic performance and recommendation letters. The following associate degree programs at Community College of Philadelphia are approved for corresponding degree programs at Jefferson University.

Please note that there are two different locations for programs offered at Jefferson University. The programs offered at Jefferson University – Center City are labeled “Center City” and those offered through the School of Continuing and Professional Studies located at Jefferson University – East Falls are labeled “Prof Studies.”

All Community College of Philadelphia associate degrees are approved for Jefferson University – East Falls’ School of Continuing and Professional Studies (Prof Studies). These bachelor programs are an examples of degree completion by which Jefferson University - East Falls will accept all or most of the courses from any associate degree to satisfy half of the bachelor degree.
