Department of Transportation Technologies

The Transportation Technologies department offers various degree and certificate options to prepare students to be successful technicians in the transportation industry. The state of transportation is constantly changing with different types of fuels to driverless technologies; the Transportation Technology programs are built to prepare students to be successful in this constantly changing market.

Faculty provide students with the skills they need. When students graduate from our programs, they are able to analyze and solve problems within various transportation systems. The department programming focuses on automotive service technology, carbon-based alternative fuels, electric vehicles & hybrids, heavy vehicle & truck repair, and Toyota technician training. All programs prepare students to pass the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) examinations and professional manufacturer certifications.

For those who already hold technical certifications you may be interested in our Individualized Studies program, which is very helpful for career advancement when you have the professional skills but not the academic degree.

If you are interested in learning more about the Transportation Technologies academic programs or course offerings, feel free to explore our webpages, stop by our office in the CATC to pick up some program information or speak with one of our program/curriculum coordinators.
