Honorlock
What is Honorlock?
Honorlock is a Google Chrome extension designed to proctor digital tests and exams. The specifics depend on what options your instructor chooses, but generally it records your test taking space and CCP ID, prevents opening websites other than the exam, and records your screen and webcam. The extension must be installed in your Chrome web browser to function.
Installing the Honorlock Chrome Extension
Because Honorlock functions as a Chrome Extension, installation is quick and easy. First, you'll need the Google Chrome web browser. The download page should automatically detect your operating system and provide the correct installation file.
Open Google Chrome and follow these steps to download the Honorlock extension. Alternatively, you will be prompted to open Chrome and install the extension the first time you attempt to open a quiz, test, or exam with Honorlock enabled.
Using Honorlock
Honorlock provides several options for those getting started using the tool, including just-in-time help built directly into the interface. We recommend staring with the What Students Need to Know FAQ and Honorlock Student Walkthrough video.
Honorlock also provides an interactive, guided tour where you can check that your system is compatible, be guided through installing the extension, experience the actual set up and authentication process, and given an explanation of what Honorlock will be doing during your test and how to get help if something goes wrong.
Getting Help and Support for Honorlock
Honorlock provides 24/7/365 technical support. There is an option in the interface to contact support during your exams if something goes wrong. If you otherwise have questions, concerns, or issues, Honorlock support can always be contacted through their website.
