Four years ago, the opportunity presented itself and I decided I wanted to try to go back to school to become a nurse. I did research it and I knew that community college had a really good nursing program. So I said, well it’s a community college, I’m from Philadelphia, it’s the best place to start. I applied to community college—it was not an issue. It was easy to apply online to take my placement test and I attended classes the summer of 2013. I applied in the Nursing program and got in, and I’m getting ready to graduate in May of this year!
