Integrating Gender Perspectives into Your Teaching

Presenters: Osvil Acosta-Morales
Audience: Faculty

Learning Goals

Participants will:

  • Engage in fruitful conversations about possibly integrating gender perspectives into teaching.
  • Will hopefully be motivated to continue exploring these possibilities. This may happen by trying out some of the ideas introduced in the session or participating in additional research and professional development on the topic. The ultimate goal is to promote diverse perspectives (around gender) into more courses at the College, to further the newest strategic pillar and directly improve the learning experience for our students.

Seminar Description

Join us for an engaging and fruitful interdisciplinary conversation about integrating gender perspectives into your teaching. We hope that together we can come to better understand what this means and why it could be valuable for you and your students. Come and learn about what some of your colleagues are already doing in this area and maybe share your own experiences and challenges as well. We hope that after this session you will be motivated to continue exploring what we discussed, either by trying some of the ideas mentioned or by continuing to learn more. We are especially interested in fostering a community of ongoing dialogue on this topic.
