- Learn how assessment results lead to action steps
Seminar Description
“Instead of trying to fit complex educational efforts into a rational, linear process of direct use, what if use was thought about in a different way? What might happen if we thought about use from the perspective of meaning making and making an argument? Since we cannot randomly assign students to courses or force faculty to teach exactly the same way every time, what if what was really done when “use assessment results” unfolded was something else entirely?” (Jankowski, 2021) This presentation will try to answer some of these key questions as we dialogue together around the different kinds of assessment data collected and the actions, stories, and meanings we use them for.
