Attendees will learn about 1. initiatives in both the Developmental English unit and Foundational Math department to redesign its curricula and course sequencing, 2. pedagogy that motivates and supports these reforms, and 3. data on the success of the redesigns.

Seminar Description

The field of developmental education is in the midst of a sea change-- nationally and here at CCP, in both philosophy and practice, and involving both English and Mathematics. Come to this seminar to learn what initiatives are underway in the CCP Developmental English Unit and the Foundational Mathematics Department, the challenges we have faced, and the success we have seen from these reforms.
