Green Power - Auto Technology Open House

The Automotive Technology Program at the Community College of Philadelphia will host Green Power Open House at the West Regional Campus, Auto Facility Entrance 4731 Ludlow Street, from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm on Friday, March 29, 2019. 

Space is limited and registration is required no later than March 25th.

Sessions will include:

  • Eastern Pennsylvania Alliance for Clean Transportation (A member of the US DOE’s Clean Cities Program), the future of electric vehicles and new trends pushing manufacturers to market to everyday customers. 
  • SEPTA , the new technology in their fleet of all-electric buses.
  • Auto Technology Instructor Daniel Reed, how all these electrical needs will be met using solar, wind, existing power and grid technology. How can the current automotive industry survive this change, and what "we" need to do to keep up to date.
  • CCP student Joe Sheraton, showcasing his modified Nissan 350 ZX Drift car designed to run off of e85 Ethanol fuel and talking about why the future of piston based motor sports is made with bio-fuels.
