Speak with counselors about majors at the College and related careers. Learn about the following tools: interest inventories, web-based career guidance programs and online career exploration resources.

Résumé Review Workshop

Bonnell Lobby | 1:30 – 3 p.m.

Career Connections staff and our student Career Peer Connectors will review your résumés and offer advice. You will have the opportunity to schedule follow-up appointments with Career Connections staff to review any suggested changes made during the résumé workshop.

Get to Know Career Connections

Center for Business Industry, Room C1-24 | 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Stop by to learn how Career Connections brings you powerful tools to help you connect to your career options and/or opportunities. Preview Big Interview and Virtual Job Shadow in our computer lab, and meet our staff and student Peer Connectors (and learn how you can become a Peer Connector). We'll be serving fresh, hot donuts, apple cider and tea, and a magician will be performing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Career Decision Making Workshop

If you are a student who is undecided about a career path, then this is the workshop for you. We will guide you toward selecting a career and major that matches your interests, abilities and personality.

Career Exploration Workshop and Career Prep

Join us at this workshop to learn how to use FOCUS2, a free career assessment tool, to help identify majors and careers that are a good fit for you. You will also have an opportunity to explore Virtual Job Shadow, a new online software platform that provides interactive career exploration resources that give you insight into workplace realities. Virtual Job Shadow gives you first-hand experiences from employed professionals about the critical skills and competencies required to be successful.

Interview Prep

Learn about Career Connections’ new online interview tool, Big Interview. We’ll show you how you can prepare for, ace and close the deal on your interview.

Career Exploration Job Fair with Comcast

Bonnell Lobby | 3 to 7 p.m.

Speak with Comcast recruiters and hiring managers about full-time job opportunities, their benefits package and their employment initiative to hire our students. Comcast recruiters will also be available to conduct mock interviews and résumé reviews with you.

Business Career Exploration Panel

Speak with seasoned professionals and ask the questions that you want answered about careers in the business field. Panelists include a representative from Comcast, and Melissa Herd, Acting Regional Director for the US. Department of Health and Human Services.
