Opening Reception: Wednesday, Oct. 7 | 4 to 6 p.m. | Mint Building Rotunda

In celebration of Latine Heritage Month, the College proudly presents an exhibition honoring Rafael Villamil's legacy. Through his art and architectural work, Villamil advanced a creative vision deeply rooted in Puerto Rican culture, history and identity.

This exhibition recognizes his lasting contributions to the built environment and visual arts, inviting viewers to reflect on how a Philadelphia Puerto Rican perspective can influence spaces, images and communities. Villamil's work speaks to the power of cultural heritage, artistic expression and design, preserving memory while envisioning the future.

The opening reception will provide an opportunity to meet Rafael Villamil and include a brief program beginning at 4:30 p.m., including remarks from Dr. Marshall and a brief presentation about the architectural and art contribution of Rafael Villamil, presented by Nathanial Kahn and Andres Villamil. Tours of the exhibit will begin at 5 p.m.

The exhibit will run from Wednesday, October 7 to Friday, October 30.
