During study days and finals week, students at the Northwest Regional Center took quiet, calming moments to relax, meditate or color in the “Woosah Room” – the library’s group study room converted into a retreat. Rena Hawes-Turner, Assistant Professor, Library, said the goal was to create a tranquil space for students to de-stress and regroup.

From the windows and ceiling treatment, to the inspirational wall quotes, poetry books, adult coloring books, and the projection and sound of the ocean, every corner of the room exhibited a feeling of peace and tranquility. Like students, faculty and staff were also thrilled to have a place to escape and recharge.
