Shades of Yale's music celebrates the Black experience through music of the African Diaspora. On their website they explain, "We acknowledge and accept that we are endowed with both the responsibility and the privilege of giving a voice to the voiceless, and we aim to do so through the richness of our repertoire with its power to inspire and unite us and our audiences."

Please join us in the Rotunda at 12 noon this Thursday, January 9th to welcome them to Community College of Philadelphia and to enjoy this celebrated group under the leadership of Titilayo Ngwenya. You can also hear them at their last appearance in Philadelphia at the Convention Center on Friday January 10th from 7-8:30 pm. That concert is free.
