The College has a program-to-program transfer agreement with University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. To benefit from this agreement, students must earn an appropriate associate degree before transfer.
Under this agreement, students earning an associate degree from Community College of Philadelphia are eligible for guaranteed admissions with junior status into approved University of the Sciences bachelor’s degrees based on the conditions as noted below.
NOTE:
- The minimum cumulative Community College of Philadelphia GPA required for admission to each degree program is noted in the Admissions Criteria table below. A minimum grade of “C” is required to transfer a course to University of the Sciences except as noted. Students who do not meet the minimum grade requirements stated can still transfer under the terms of this Agreement, subject to University of the Sciences departmental review and approval.
- The courses encompassed in the associate degree at Community College of Philadelphia must be completed within the 3 years immediately preceding matriculation at University of the Sciences. Students who take more than 3 years to complete the associate degree can still transfer under this Agreement, subject to University of the Sciences departmental review and approval.
- University of the Sciences will accept a maximum of 90 credits in transfer. At least 30 credits must be completed in-residence at a University of the Sciences campus. At least half of these credits must be upper division courses required by the major (i.e. 300 level or above). Community College of Philadelphia credits earned through Prior Learning Assessment will be evaluated on an individual basis.
- International students are required to achieve a score of 90 or above (with no sections below 20) in the TOEFL or score of 6.5 or above in the IELTS, unless they have been studying at an English-speaking institution for at least four years.
- Once at University of the Sciences, students who transfer under the terms of this Agreement are responsible for meeting all degree requirements in effect for their major based on the Catalog Year backdated to the academic year when they would have started studies at University of the Sciences if they had entered as a full-time, first-year student. These students will abide by the policies and procedures, and any revisions thereof, which apply to all University of the Sciences students.
- University of the Sciences will waive the application fee for students who apply to University of the Sciences pursuant to this Agreement.
- Students must meet all applicable University of the Sciences requirements and deadlines pertaining to application for admission and payment of tuition and fees.
- Students transferring under this Agreement will be eligible for financial aid and housing on the same basis as other University of the Sciences students. Transfer scholarships and Phi Theta Kappa scholarships are available to assist qualified transfer students.
- Students are strongly encouraged to complete the online USciences Admission Interest Form at least one year prior to transferring to USciences.

For admissions into these University of the Sciences degrees, students must complete their courses for the associate degree at Community College of Philadelphia within 3 years before enrolling at University of the Sciences (except for *). Note cumulative Community College of Philadelphia grade point average (GPA) and additional requirements below. Students who do not meet these additional requirements can still transfer subject to University of the Sciences academic departmental review and approval.
