View Institution Transfer Agreement

As one of Pennsylvania’s 14 public community colleges, Community College of Philadelphia joins a program-to-program transfer agreement with Southern New Hampshire University’s College of Online and Continuing Education. To benefit from this agreement, students must earn an appropriate associate degree before transfer.

Notes:

  • All academic course work in which a student has earned a grade of “C-” or higher will be considered for transfer on a case by case basis.
  • Students enrolling at Southern New Hampshire University’s College of Online and Continuing Education may transfer up to 90 hours for a bachelor's degree. An unlimited number of credits may be earned through the following provided students meet Southern New Hampshire University’s College of Online and Continuing Education residency requirements:
    • CLEP, DANTES and Excelsior, military training (based upon a transcript from the American Council on Education (ACE), College Credit Recommendation Service or Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcript) and ACE or National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS) credits.
  • Transfer credit from these third parties will be evaluated on a case by case basis and will be awarded based on Southern New Hampshire University’s College of Online and Continuing Education degree program requirements.
  • Students must earn 30 credit hours (or ten classes) to satisfy Southern New Hampshire University’s College of Online and Continuing Education residency requirement.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

As part of this agreement, the following benefits are available to eligible Community College of Philadelphia graduates, employees and immediate family of employees (spouses, domestic partners, children, siblings and parents):

  • Application fee waiver to apply to Southern New Hampshire University’s College of Online and Continuing Education.
  • Ten (10%) percent tuition reduction for Southern New Hampshire University’s College of Online and Continuing Education courses.

To qualify for these two benefits, individuals must inform Southern New Hampshire University’s College of Online and Continuing Education admissions representatives of their relationship to Community College of Philadelphia as well note their relationship on Southern New Hampshire University’s College of Online and Continuing Education application form. Southern New Hampshire University Programs offered at military tuition assistance levels are not subject to this reduction.
