Global Brain Awareness Week: Brain Awareness Day

1st event 11:20am-12:50pm:  Panel discussion about the brain's pathways to pleasure.  Sex, drugs, video games, food...Join neuropsychologist Melvin Bates and an interdisciplinary panel of CCP faculty as we discuss some of the most up to date science about pleasure and the brain.  2nd event 1:00pm-2:30pm: Brain Science & the Biology of Belief.  Come find out if neuroscience can confirm or dispute the existence of God.  Hear from Andrew Newberg, M.D., a pioneer in the Neurological study of religoius and spiritual experienes about the connections between psychology and spirituality, and his proposing that religion is coded into the biology of our brains.  Sponsored by the Psychology Department and Office of Studrent Engagement.
