Ending Incarceration of Immigrant Families in Pennsylvania

Jasmine Rivera is the Community Organizer coordinating the Shut Down Berks Coalition’s grassroots campaign fighting to shut down the Berks County Family Detention Center and end family detention.

Jasmine has worked in the Philadelphia region as a community organizer for the last nine years, working on racial and economic justice, as well as immigrant, voting and reproductive rights. She is currently the Data and Targeting Manager at Pennsylvania Voice, a statewide network working to break down barriers to civic participation, restore confidence in government, and bring historically marginalized populations to the center of public discourse.
