Learning Goals 

The goals of this workshop are to: 

  • - Present information to staff, administration, and faculty on how they can get involved in volunteering on campus, off campus and virtually! 
  • - Discuss the different service opportunities that students can get involved with, both paid and unpaid service and leadership opportunities 
  • - Brainstorm new ways in which the Institute can work with the College Community based on the audiences interests and passions!

This workshop will serve as a volunteer orientation for administrators, faculty, and staff. We will cover: 

  • • An overview of the scope of work of the Institute 
  • • Introductions to staff within the Institute 
  • • Benefits of Volunteering 
  • • An overview of the Institutes’ signature volunteer opportunities and Past Events 
  • • Service Learning Opportunities 
  • • An overview of the Fall 2020 Semester of Service Schedule 
  • • An overview of the Institute’s webpage 
  • • An overview of the Pride Portal 
  • • An overview of How To Sign Up
