Grady's Community Garden 1 Year Anniversary

Plant some goodness and see how the garden has grown, watch a cooking demo and pick-up some free, fresh veggies! 

Vetri’s Mobile Teaching Kitchen will be bringing their culinary classroom to Grady’s Garden with hands-on cooking demonstrations for eating healthy at home. We’ll be giving away free vegetables, and we’ll have lots of resources from Philly’s Sankofa and Glover Gardens, along with the College’s Snack Rack Food Pantry, Horticulture Club, Office of Student Engagement and the Center for Student Leadership Development.

Vetri Cooking Demo | 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

You’ll gain an increased understanding of using fresh ingredients as you confidently understand the steps of these healthy recipes from start to finish.

Fresh Vegetable Giveaway | 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Stop by to for free vegetables and learn how to make a healthy, delicious meal using your fresh vegetables. Try something new — you create a healthier you when you add fresh vegetables to your culinary cabinet! 

Plant Some Goodness | 1 to 3 p.m.

The vegetables planted in Grady’s Garden help us grow and provide nutritious food to the College’s students. Help us plant some goodness! Let's put our hands together and do our part to grow fresh food and bring ourselves one step closer to food sovereignty.
