Program Description

In accordance with the College’s Child Abuse Reporting Policy (Policy #162) and the Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law, any College employee who may come in contact with children in the course of employment at the College has a mandatory obligation to report child abuse which the employee knows about, sees, or has reasonable cause to suspect. The online training course, Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse: Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania, will give employees information regarding how to recognize and report child abuse in accordance with the Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law. The online course is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and takes three to four hours to complete.  A member of the Human Resources department staff will be available to assist you during this time.

College employees who were previously notified by HR concerning their obligations under the PA Child Protective Services Law are required to complete this training.  If you are unable to complete the training during this scheduled time, you must complete the training by January 31, 2019 and submit your certificate of completion to the HR department.
