Assessment Tuesday: Results from the Spring 2019 Student Feedback Survey Examining Students’ Perceptions of Safety & Security at the College

Program Description:
A safe campus environment is a priority at CCP, students, faculty, staff, and visitors want assurance that they attend classes and work on a safe campus.

To better understand Community College of Philadelphia students’ perceptions of safety and security at the college, the Spring 2019 Student Feedback Survey asked students about their experiences. Students revealed the areas in which they felt the most and least safe; the research also demonstrated the effect of certain variables had on students’ overall perception of campus safety. The variables studied included feeling unsafe based on religion, disability, gender identify, age, LGBTQA+ status, and race.
